"Conservatives" clearly have no clue when it comes to the issue of free speech.

Free speech doesn't mean you can slander or defame anyone you don't like, and expect there to be no consequences. People you baselessly accuse of crimes, for example, will fight back, and it should be pointed out that there are defamation and libel laws, and they exist for a reason.
Free speech has never been without legal restraints. You can't scream there's a bomb on board a crowded aeroplane just for laughs; you will be arrested upon touchdown.
To all those whiny "conservatives" out there who like to grumble about restrictions being placed upon free speech, I simply say keep on crying, because I fully support such restrictions, and the next time you have the audacity, the sheer gall, to accuse someone you don't like of (for example) being in support of child abuse, consider yourself to be lucky if all you receive in return is a punch to the face.

And we don't want to stifle anything. We certainly don't want to stifle free speech, but that's no longer free speech. See, I don't think that the mainstream media is free speech either because it's so crooked. It's so dishonest. So to me, free speech is not when you see something good and then you purposely write bad. To me, that's a very dangerous speech, and you become angry at it. But that's not free speech.

@Kwek00 Okay. What's your opinion on this?
Kwek00 · 41-45, M
@Pambie That Donald Trump is an authoritarian, that has the support of a coalition of authoritarian movements. And that none of these are compatible with the values that were prominent in America since it's founding. Donald Trump should never have gotten power, and a lot of people will suffer for it before Donald goes the way of the dodo.

@Kwek00 What the fuck is he trying to say?! LOL

@JimboSaturn It's simple... when you express criticism to something he perceives as a good thing... that's not okay, and not free speech. Therefore, it should be illegale (not protected under the free speech clause).

It's comparible to Idi Amin Dada, who once said: "I can guarantee freedom of speech, but I can't guarantee freedom after speech.".

@Kwek00 So you have the freedome to agree with him on all matters. I can't believe people still think th media is crooked and the troll is not; what an upsidedown world.

@JimboSaturn These people are living in distorted reality... but that's what you get when you fall into the populist trap. If you believe in the populist worldview, where one highly moral homogenous group is being punished/boycotted/victimised by a highly immoral homogenous group. You, as a member of the first group, can do no wrong. No need for selfreflection or thinking, all your actions are "moral". While the other group can do no right and are only there to pester you... the logical outcome of the narrative, is that the latter group needs to go.
