Why won't the woke people support Trump's drive to dismantle Deep State? Are they the Nazis?

Tulsi Gabbard is now America's top spy. Her ascendance to director of national intelligence last month signaled a major shift in views toward government surveillance at the highest rung of the US intelligence community. She pledged to bring about new levels of oversight and transparency to a key US surveillance program that’s long been plagued by reports of misuse.

Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA)—the nation’s cornerstone wiretap authority that, while aimed at collecting intelligence on foreigners overseas, is known to vacuum up large quantities of calls, texts, and emails belonging to Americans. Whistle-blower Edward Snowdon, who warned Americans of this, had to flee to Russia to escape capture by US law enforcement.

Declassifying critical information about the number of US persons whose communications are collected under this surveillance is essential to increasing transparency.

The public deserves to know, what Section 702 is being used for, and how many Americans are swept up in that surveillance.

Good chance they stand to lose the “investments” they made under the Biden administration and thinking the returns would be good.
Oh, well!

And IMO the term NAZI. Is used much too often, and from both sides. That needs to stop. It’s a waste of breath!

@soar2newhighs I agree the term "Nazi" is overworked and not really applicable today. Its contained a particular brand of racial hatred and violence that doesnt apply now. "Facist" however does fit the bill reasonably well. America with its oligarchy and corporate patronage of politicinans in exchange for controlling power is within the definition of Facist..😷

The amount of fear-mongering, vitriol, labeling, etc., spewing out of Trump and his crowd certainly sounds like facial hatred and has generated violence. It may not yet be institutionalized into death camps and final solutions, but it is a fine line you are drawing.

@dancingtongue I admit, it might go that way. All the precursors are in place..😷
