Here's another dare: Put Your SW Name Down With a Yes or No. Was the Polish Government, as Vladimir Putin Insists, to blame for starting World War II?

“It was them who, while pursuing their mercenary and exorbitantly overgrown ambitions, laid their people, the Polish people, open to attack from Germany’s military machine, and, moreover, generally contributed to the beginning of the Second World War.”
- Russian President Vladimir Putin

No. Poland laid herself open to attack simply by daring to exist and by geographical accident of being positioned between two aggressive empires. But there is a curious parallel in that Russia has consistently sniped at Poland for being insufficiently grateful for her "liberation" post-1945.

No, Poland was not responsible for WWII nor was CZECHOSLOVAKIA responsible shortly before that.

The very idea of a blitzkrieg for both was Germany's idea.

BTW Czechoslovakia was invaded on March 15th 1939 while Poland was invaded on September 1 1939!

Hitler wanted Lebensraum!
