People never tolerate isolationism for too long.
The worry for me is that governments will be elected with ever smaller majorities and upper houses will have no majorities so ultimately everything grinds to a halt.
Then you're at the mercy of the likes of Musk and worse seeking to create a world in their image.

@Picklebobble2 i'd rather musk do it out in the open than someone else does it from the shadows. musk isn't even that bad. tell me, why is he so bad?

@thrash Well personally I think he tries to come across as an 'influencer' with his seemingly endless opinions on everything which he posts on his own platforms...yet demands the right to remove and even ban others who post opposing views.
All of which is fine...until you read endless stories about his supposed 'influence' with seats of real life power at U.S. Presidential level that could (if true) close or redistribute money or degrees of power to different bodies that aren't elected and have no accountability to the public.
