Thanks. A bit of insight into why over the past dozen+ years the Republican senate always seemed to fluttered and when it held the majority simply acted like a place holder till the next election cycle.

@4meAndyou His one saving virtue was keeping Garland off the Supreme Court. But maybe he doesn’t deserve full credit for that.

@Heartlander Well, we really DID dodge a bullet with that one, didn't we. I don't recall the history of it.

@4meAndyou If McConnell resigns and Beshear (sp?) replaces him with a Democrat, that Democrat will then get to run in the next election cycle as an incumbent Senator, which I think would increase his chances of winning. So Republicans are no worse off with McConnell hanging around voting with the Democrats. By keeping McConnell in office I imagine the hope is that Democrats will have to go through primaries to find their contender.

Did they wheel him in on a gurney to cast his no vote?
Maybe the next time he collapses they should just leave him there.

@SumKindaMunster He is definitely coming from a place where he has decided that his own biases and opinions matter MUCH more than Trump's agenda.

@SumKindaMunster lol!

McConnell has voted against 3 Trump nominees so far.😡

McConnell needs to go.

@4meAndyou @WillaKissing
Kentucky has a Democrat governor who would decide who would replace MCconnell until the next election. McConnell’s sudden Democrat tilt may be related to head off a call by Democrats in Kentucky that he resign. So as long as he keeps acting like a Democrat it’s unlikely that Kentucky will demand his resignation. Also, brain dead senators are puppets for their staff that put the words in the dummy’s mouth and manipulate the strings that move the dummy’s mouth. Keeping McConnell in office is their job security.

@Heartlander THAT is such a sad commentary on how our government works. 😢

@4meAndyou I know. I don't think the drafters of the constitution anticipated that America would one day be so partisan.
