There are probably a few posts that might embarrass me, but I hope it's at the level to be more humanizing and not outright disgrace. I try to be kind and when I cannot be kind I try to be civil. And there are probably times when I am wrong about something, but I tend to lay out my reasoning such that reaching the wrong conclusion could be understandable and that I'm not just making shit up and sticking to it.
That said, there's no telling where the moral compass might be pointing in twenty years. I mean, hell, I am embarrassed by some of my own beliefs from twenty years ago.

I am trying to remain conscious that my generation was also not well understood by my elders. That the changes we sought were disparaged and fought tooth and nail by older folks. It really bothered me and I don't want to perpetuate the cycle. Plus I think both "the culture war" and the "generational warfare" are both greatly weakened if everyone is willing to show a little understanding and respect instead of constantly looking to be offended.
I may not be able to do much myself. But I can at least start with myself.
