We can only hope that those in uniform understand and remember that their oath is to the Constitution, as the Generals and former Generals in his first term did. And the Uniform Code of Military Justice only requires obedience to lawful orders; not any off the wall demand from someone up the chain of command.

@dancingtongue They will follow orders or they will be thrown in prison, court martialed , denied their pension, and their families doxed. Trump is under no obligation to follow any law or follow any legal process.

@whowasthatmaskedman I beg to differ. Canada and the U.S. are so extensively intertwined economically and with the NORAD defense systems, and to a large extent--but not totally--that it would be like a civil war. The Panama Canal is of importance to not just the two American continents, but to China's supply lines as well which is probably why he wants to re-grab it so he can twist and squeeze. Denmark, other than the airbase that is as important to Canada as to us, is somewhat a mystery.

@Bumbles As I said, hopefully those in uniform -- including the prosecutors, defense attorneys, judges, and jury in military court -- will remember that their oaths are to the Constitution, and the UCMJ.
