FBI Agents Involved In Trump Cases fired. Is this justified?

The Trump administration forced out a number of FBI officials Friday, removing agents who worked on the criminal cases into President Trump as well as the heads of various field offices.

A source familiar said agents who had worked on the Mar-a-Lago and Jan. 6 investigations were escorted out of the Washington Field Office.

Acting Attorney General James McHenry told the agents their role in investigating Trump was the reason for their dismissals.

“Given your significant role in prosecuting the President, I do not believe that the leadership of the Department can trust you to assist in implementing the President’s agenda faithfully,” McHenry wrote in an email obtained by CNN.

I work in the capacity of a public servant. We are tasked with following the law, no matter what politician is in charge. Many, many times we do things that we may have personal objection to, but our job is to execute the law as best as we can using the resources we are given. This is the same situation. These people were dismissed for “doing their jobs”. It is a very slippery slope if we start injecting politics into the public service workforce.

@trollslayer 🤔 ... so the Hypocrats WEREN'T waging 'Lawfare' for the past 8 YEARS

🙄🙄🙄

AND

... if they're innocent, why have they ALL 'Lawyered up' AND got insurance out, when they knew Trump was winning the 2024

😎😎😎

@sree251 How long before all those holding government jobs must swear an oath of allegiance to Donald J. Trump personally?

How long before the widespread appointment of political commissars to ensure that loyalty?

if there was wrong doing and they violated their oath and weren't forthcoming with certain facts, Yes but if this is retaliation for raiding his home then No but this is a trigger question, that will have some people jumping to conclusions. The truth will come out, if they feel they were wrongly discharged they file suit in court and the evidence is presented then so be it. The news is quick to throw these triggers out there and never follow up on what happened. No lawsuit, then they were complicit, lawsuit and it will be ALL over the news. I'll wait to see what happens if anything.

Its necessary really. An example has to be made to deter anyone who might decide to investigate Trump or his close minions for anything in the future. The man has to be untouchable by legal means.. Personally i think this is a mistake. Because people will form the opinion that the only way to remove him is by illegal means. And they will..😷

@whowasthatmaskedman i give it 6 months.

@trollslayer I think Vance will be in place by the Mid terms. Backed by Project 2025. But thats just a hunch..😷
Tяump didn't follow established procedures.
Tяump failed to justify the firings.
Tяump punished based on mere suspicion rather than on evidence.

That's how autocracy works; it's NOT how the rule of law works.
Justified? Absolutely.

@BizSuitStacy
Justified? Absolutely

They were just following orders from the DOJ.
@sree251 they hanged people at Nuremberg who tried using that excuse.
MarineBob · 56-60, M
@sree251 were the orders lawful?

It's now dictatorships start: First get rid of the people in government who can hold you accountable, then put in people who won't hold you accountable.

It was dictactorship under a woke administration. We salute to a different leader now.
newjaninev2 · 56-60, F
@sree251 and what manner of salute is that..?
@newjaninev2 An 卐LON standard salute, clearly!

graphite · 61-69, M
Last time around, FBI actively worked to get rid of Trump. Not this time. Trump is sending them out the door where they belong.
@graphite they raided his house with intent to use deadly force..
filled his security detail with DEI hires for 2x assassination attempts..
but in no way are the fbi been up to shenanigans and used their full force to oust , kill, bankrupt their new boss.. 🤓👍
newjaninev2 · 56-60, F
@graphite when did actively working to enforce the law become a crime?
BigGuy2 · 31-35, M
Yep ... it's called REVENGE 😎😎😎
sree251 · 41-45, M
