Anyone else log onto the news every morning to see if someone offed Trump?

Not that I want that to happen - I actually fear it. But considering the number of people he is intentionally hurting and the number of people who commit “suicide by cop”, I fear this is inevitable. And I would not be surprised if it is someone from his own admin.

Or maybe I watch too much Columbo…

Not specifically. I'm old school: I don't wish that on anyone, particularly my President. Respect the office whether you can stand the human being currently wearing the mantle or not. But my routine is to check in on the headlines for general purposes after checking for emails and my two baseball sites. More in depth news I leave for my real, honest-to-God, tactile newspapers when I got to bed at night. And I realize it is old news then, but I get the headlines during the day and then do the more in depth dive at night.

Been through one Presidential Assassination. Sitting in full combat gear, awaiting orders to move out. Never again!

Full disclosure: My wife is scottish. My wife has advancing dementia. Part of our daily routine is to go up to the local mall and visit a cafe where she is known and I have an arrangement with the staff who understand her and order coffee and something nice for her while I find a table. Then she comes over and asks about thr news of the day. Invariably I say "not much" because little things set her off. And the next words out of her mouth are "I cant believe trump is president. He needs a bullet."
My wife has advancing dementia. My wife is smarter than most Americans.😷

@whowasthatmaskedman LOL. Was visiting an aging neighbor on Jan 20th, and she said something similar.

I used to enjoy watching Power and Politics on the CBC at 6 pm everyday, but now I read because I don't want to hear about Trump. Oh well, I wanted to increase my reading anyway.
Tastyfrzz · 61-69, M
@JimboSaturn ignorance is bliss.

I sure hope nobody hurts the man. He’s a good man.

@Jake966
"He wants our allies to pay"
. Well they are not our allies anymore. He is creating enemies everywhere, It is so shameful! And they did pay a lot, so don't believe in lies!

@Jake966 Here are some chapters and verses, how we should conduct ourselves.

Galatians 5:22-23
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, / gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

Colossians 3:12
Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, clothe yourselves with hearts of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.

Matthew 5:5
Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.

James 1:21
Therefore, get rid of all moral filth and every expression of evil, and humbly accept the word planted in you, which can save your souls.

We've pretty much given up on the news -- too depressing. But we do live in hope of a Big mac Attack on his heart.

Gives me a good idea for a movie script. A political leader that his own party wants gone because he is blackmailing them, so they have a fake doctor convince one of his disgruntled security men that he has incurable cancer and only weeks to live. Borrows a little from Jack Ruby conspiracies and from Trump having his inner circle turn on him.
Tastyfrzz · 61-69, M
Trump is actually a Beta XII entity.

The Beta XII-A Entity - also known as (*) - was a non-corporeal entity who fed off strong negative emotions such as those caused by hatred and violence and the main antagonist of the Star Trek episode "Day of the Dove".

@Tastyfrzz Yes ignore him and make him irrelevant would kill him. He loves being in the public eye.
jehova · 31-35, M
I hope he gets what is coming to him.
JimboSaturn · 56-60, M
I think another assassination attempt is inevitable.
JimboSaturn · 56-60, M
@badminton It would make a martyr of him. That would be bad. It would inflame and cause more division. Although I'll be happy when he dies, assassination is very bad.
Tastyfrzz · 61-69, M

I'm still surprised Secret Service didn't "accidentally" kill him during tRUMP's first illegitimate term
trollslayer · 46-50, M
@thisguy20 The fact that he wasn't pretty much proves there is no "deep state" as he claims.
@thisguy20 yes and trump wants jfk files made open, he may regret it
