It stands for Diversity Equity Inclusion. This is not a quota program. It's a program that endorses businesses to hire people who would otherwise not be hired. And yes they must be qualified. This includes gender and religion and the disabled. As of right now this program has been discontinued. There are some who feel that DEI has nullified skill. It overlooks the qualifed. The short answer is no. The long answer is that it's probably not even possible. DEI is profitable for everyone. It makes the business-owners more money, but it also helps the workers because it provides more opportunity. The government can ban programs that refer to themselves as "DEI," but does anyone really believe they're going to ban corporations from doing outreach to diverse communities in order to make more money?
