Over the weekend, the HTS leader and de facto "leader" said that while the goal is to have a real election, it may take up to 4 years to prepare the country for it. The first and most complicated milestone, is the be-Baathifization of Syria's government institutions and internal security forces.

Ahmed al-Sharaa's first test is whether he can manage to get Jihadi Chechens kicked out the country. The latter may be under the impression that they're part of the "winning" party, but Syrians, including all the parties that opposed Assad, want none of it.

Kurdish forces, over the weekend, killed nearly 20 members of the Nousra front, and Christians are demanding the immediate deportations of Chechens and other Jihadists.
