The oligarchs tapped have a networth of over $340 billion. How will these people properly represent their constituencies ? We cannot expect the oligarchs like Trump, his chronies and those like Brian Thompson to watch out for our best interests
I’m mixed on this one, because while billionaires are generally out of touch with the average persons reality and sensibilities, they do understand how to run a complex business.
@DownTheStreet Keep in mind, billionaires run their businesses with the mindset that the only thing that matters is profit. That might work when it comes to making money, but it harms the public. That's how we end up with the private prison industry, the military industrial complex, and unregulated pollution. Remember Trump complimenting Elon Musk for firing his employees when they went on strike? That's what these billionaire sociopaths are bringing to the Trump-Vance government.
Makes sense being that he's declared bankruptcy six times in his career it's probably a good thing he puts people in there that actually know something about running a business.
I was starting to be suspicious that he was making red herring appointments to cover up appointing people he owes favors too. But that's just my own personal suspicions/conspiracy theories..
Who says independently wealthy people would do any worse running the country than the spendthrift democrats who sabotage and bleed the economy on every turn and beyond? Shrugs
Or, he's choosing them so they can be above corruption, just like Trump is and why 'they' asked Trump to clear the Swamp in the 1st place
"Best interests..." - i'm guessing Trump will avert WW3, that single point alone will put him in the history books - you can't get any more vindication than that for 'best interests' for anyone, bearing in mind WW3 will cause 100,000's of deaths if not MILLIONS, possibly the end of the human race -

@SunshineGirl what came 1st, the Chicken or the Egg - anyone lobbying any Government and that 'anyone' being threatened with arrest if they step into that Country {bearing in mind lobbyists are like flea bitten rats scurrying around Parliament}
I would hardly think the PM would want to arrest a lobbyist, a failed lobbyist just over 'personal criticism' 🙄🙄🙄
