Should Biden pardon Trump?

Serious question, and as a MAGA critic, I think it could be a good idea:

1) make it only cover crimes to date. It’s not like he will ever be prosecuted for them when he is out of office.
2) should trump accept the pardon, he is basically accepting that he did something wrong.
3) Basically throws MAGAs for a loop, and makes Biden look like the better man.
You make some valid points. But it could also legitimize the idea that he did nothing wrong and that his legal troubles were nothing but political persecution.

We both know MAGA will believe his narrative not the facts of the case.

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow yet they believe Hunter did something wrong…
@trollslayer They also believe Trump won 4 years ago too. Facts don't matter.

I think it would be a terrible idea. Trump is innocent. Biden is only pardoning the guilty.

@hippyjoe1955 Do you actually read what you type? 🤣💀

@TrashCat Do you have a comprehension problem? I wrote the truth but your bigotry won't let you grasp it. I find that incredibly funny!!!!

#1 Biden will never be the better man compared to Trump
#2 the charges against Trump were politically motivated and will be dropped anyway so Trump doesn’t need Biden's help

No: details follow:

1. Charges “Dismissed without prejudice “ can and likely will be revisited when Trump is not an in office, statute of limitation is frozen.

2. Trump and maga admit to violating the laws so this is not at issue with them.

3. For Trump and MAGA it would only make Biden look weaker, they see positivity and kindness as weakness.

Global response: no, Trump should be detained ASAP even if it takes NATO’s assistance.

Should those that voted him in be considered an accessory to a crime?
Ynotisay · M
There's logic to it but I think there's far more Americans who want justice than care about Biden looking like the "better man." Trump has already skated on the most crucial crimes. Can't let all his behaviors go unpunished. That's a bad precedent. Worse than it is already.
trollslayer · 46-50, M
@Ynotisay the problem is, he cannot pardon state crimes. And both Jack Smith cases, no matter how guilty, won’t go anywhere thanks to the activist scotus. And, Trump is likely to commit more crimes. Word a pardon such that it cleverly makes clear that Trump is being pardoned for crimes - and let him take it or refuse it. But as pointed out, Magas live in an alternate reality so they will write whatever narrative they fantasize about.
Excellent suggestion. Pardon Tяump for known crimes; then he can't plead the 5th when subpoena'd for evidence. And yes, just as Clinton had to testify in response to a grand jury subpoena, so would Tяump.
trollslayer · 46-50, M
@ElwoodBlues exactly. Would it force him to testify against co-conspirators?.
@trollslayer It SHOULD. But you know Tяump and the law.
One of the reasons Trump became popular in the first place is because of that kind of corruption. Americans hate that the rich are above the law.

@BohemianBabe irony?
justanothername · 51-55, M
@trollslayer So much irony which is completely lost on MAGA cultists.
@trollslayer It is, but it also kinda makes sense. People in the Trump Cult see Trump as their revenge against a system that works against them. The establishment favors the upper-class so much that they're above the law, while the working-class gets spit on. Electing Trump is how the workers punish the establishment. They see Trump breaking laws and getting away with it as a middle finger to the system.
Now granted, this is incredibly stupid because Trump is only going to make the establishment worse. But that is the mindset of the cucks in the cult.

NO 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
LetsDance · F
Too late. The Justice department has already dropped all charges.
RedBaron · M
I don’t think it matters now.
SilkandLace2 · 46-50, M
So Donald Trump gets prosecuted, even though no other sitting or past President has been? (I'm sorry, I'm kinda making a sweeping comment based on the other comments posted)
Trump obviously believes that he has won everything, offering him a pardon would prove it.
Vin53 · M
Find the least punishable crime and pardon him for that and that alone.
Yes. And it would have looked better if Trump had then pardoned Hunter.
JustMorty · 46-50, M
He doesn’t need Biden to.
In 47 days he will pardon himself.
@JustMorty True. I mean the GOP and the right wing made the POTUS a monarch just in time for Trump.
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
If by "pardon," you mean "drone strike"...
