Well, people are easily manipulated, because they are bad at math. Both parties know this, and their goal is to make people think they are better/worse off (depending on context) than they really are.
Walk through the supermarket and look at the sale tags. They fool people into thinking they are getting a great deal, when in reality they arent. Or look at ebay - folks trying to sell crap for top dollar by marking it "vintage"
The stock market would have reacted favorably either way, mainly because there is now an answer as to the best place to put your money. Notice also the other news, that housing interest rates went up again. The economic prediction is that Trump's economy (if he does what he says he wants to do) will grow the national debt, increase inflation, and raise mortgage interest rates. I am hoping they are wrong,

@Zonuss lol says the goose who's afraid of other people and its so smug about it
The part you should have read again is the part where I said you weren't wrong, but I guess you're so addicted to self adulation that you won't even let someone agreeing with you interrupt the flow of self rigteous ego stroking
It's hilarious

Indiscriminately speaking of "tax cuts" without differentiating between tax rates and tax revenues is the liberal's slight of hand to fool low IQ voters.
Funny how Busy 43's indiscriminate capital gains tax cuts led to an increase in tax revenues? 🤣🤣🤣
Even funnier how the Trump corporate tax rate cuts brought manufacturing back to the US, increased employment, and hence tax revenues?
Y'all never catch on.
Wait until Elon starts cleaning house 😁 America and the world is about to see why gov't shouldn't be trusted to handle our money.
Indiscriminately lowering taxes with the vague hope that this may lift economic growth is not. Just adds to government debt with no discernible public benefit.

@BizSuitStacy No, it really is quite simple. A tax cut made on the basis of anticipated future increases in tax revenue is unfunded and a drain on the public purse. Liz Truss's inability to understand this led to the collapse of her government after 42 days, higher borrowing costs, and an additional bill to the taxpayer of around £60bn. But who cares about ordinary taxpayers, just so long as dividends are being returned to shareholders? 🤷♀

Stock market Record High is good news for my 401k. Oh wait, Biden/Harris still in power.
Trump is only President Elect.
Trump is only President Elect.
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@Montanaman Not really. Id say that's about right. Because in 2020 everybody had money. Why because they were making $600 bucks a week sitting at home. That's why. 🙄
The Dow Jones and S&P 500 go up by a certain number of points, and that's perceived to be a good thing, but the problem with all of this (especially when you try to use it as evidence for something you believe) is that the stock market is largely based upon confidence, or the lack thereof, that people in general have. Its value is based almost entirely upon perception, the perception of reality that most people who are in this game will have at any given time. That being the case, I wouldn't place too much stock ☺ in it.

A stockmarket index is not a proxy for economic health. Be sceptical and make enquiries about the reasons for that spike 😞

Tells me even Wall Street knows that less regulation equals more money for everyone

Give 2 years and watch how that 45 sky rockets but it’s ok because you and everyone else will continue to blame previous administration as they always do
Btw @zonuss you do a great job of staying invisible and never answering direct questions :)

I personally think Covid was the fault of inflation not any one president. Blame often goes to the president for some reason.

I am glad the stocket market has gone up very and it will for awhile . I am not expecting food prices will go down for awhile .
jackjjackson · 61-69, M

@whowasthatmaskedman Easy. If they didn't sabotage him with this pandemic he definitely would have been reelected then. And everybody knows this. 🤔☺

Man you are naive
This country has money all around the world. How much money you think is coming across that border daily. Both borders. You got a lot to learn about this system. ☺

Those pictures tell us nothing about Trump. What those pictures tell us about Zonuss however, is that he knows nothing about the stock market.
