Doesn't matter what I would want as a hypothetical, what matters is what the host country wants. Since this is thinly veiled at the US, I would point out that immigration policy isn't set by self serving billionaires donating to Presidential Candidates constitutionally, but by the US Congress.
Most of these countries have a safe area, and the people who are leaving are causing a brain and tax and draft drain on these countries. They will have to be returned to invest their savings locally, to form a new tax base and enact local laws that get their countries out of the trouble they are in. Liberals can't unilaterally to the Hitler Salute and push this crap on everyone else. We have a constitutional order, and it isn't superceded by the liberal crosseyed order that listens to scam the richest 1% tries to push on the rest of us. We need to give these other countries a chance to heal themselves with the best of their best, and not make everyone in the US underemployed with suppressed wages because a massive amount of illegals are here stealing everyone's jobs. For those who are deserving of amnesty dur to torture and persecution, we have a process for that. It needs strict scrutiny and skepticism. I better see whip scars and mutilated fingers from someone applying for that, or a fulan gong member screaming they broke out of a live organ harvesting clinic in China. Those are deserving. Guatamala having alot of people and gangs is not deserving. Haiti has a stable north, so it is not deserving.

@Pikachu You are forcing a false premise. I am a veteran. I would fight in my home country with whatever rebel group I could find, or start one myself. I would oppose people like you for taking away my tax base and manpower base to overthrow a evil government. I would ask for you to be deported to my country once it is reestablished to face warcrime prosecution, for causing serious harm to my society. Braindrains can cripple a society. So is the case when all the young men run off.

@Pikachu That is the problem. They see it as a false hypothetical thought exercise when this is the actual reality of many refugees.

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow @Gibbon Furthermore, my statements are moral statements in regard to statecraft that have been repeatedly asserted for years with Mexico and Syria: why is it mostly young men who are regugees? They should be the backbone of the resistence in their home country. Your entire premise is false and backwards. I would stay and fight, and call for your prosecution for war crimes by stealing men who can be drafted or work as civilians in a wartime industry (which can incluse the service or agricultural industries- I read the draft laws while in the army and they can draft you to work in a McDonalds in the US).
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow The bigger issue is you have a unique luxury as you are from Canada, a country with high living standards due to intensive trade with the US, and low population density. However, Canada also has in a net loss of population from ALL of it's provinces (they move to the US, illegally or legally), and the cost of prkperty in the cities is absurdly high. This is a recipe for genocide. In Vancouver, people reproduce well below the line of maintaining a stable population (last I checked it was for every four people, one replaced them in natural births).
Canada had the nerve to try to recruit Vietnamese people, who sided with South Vietnam, to emmigrate to Vancouver a few years back. I visciously opposed this, not just to family links to Vietnam but on the humanity of it. If they lived in Vietnam they would be persecuted but still able to reproduce, and most would survive, though impoverished and ignorant. In Vancouver they would be exposed to undreamed of wealth and education, but their genepool would collapse. Most wouldn't reproduce.
Canada is a living genocide. It is a meat grinder, however pleasant. It would be more honest just to shoot 3/4ths of them each generation and put the survivors in a condo in Vietnam. Canada isn't a safe place to keep genetically endangered groups alive. Look at what Canada did to the Natives until recently.

@Dignaga Expecting everyone to play along with your Red Dawn fantasies and claiming that forcing people into it is tyranny, not moral.
And as someone who says they are a veteran it is really easy for you to sit there and lecture civilians.
And as someone who claims to be a vet it is bizarre that you would ask why young men are largely refugees. That should be be obvious.
In every civil conflict pretty much ever fighting age males are usually the first to be lined up in front of a ditch and shot. This should be very very obvious to anyone who claims to have served.

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow Canada did it as much as the US, if not more, I'm uncertain which country had more conflicts, Canada or the US, I've been reading up on the wars in Canada for years and you guys had alot of local conflicts. Might outnumber the US.
First people to be rounded up and shot are not fighting aged males. You shoot them, the local recruits and economy completely collapses. You round up the local intellectuals and shoot them. That's what the Muslims did in Persia with the Zoroastrians. They would gather everyone in a crowd, and ask who was learned and understood iranian religion and history. They went to the side, thinking they would be selected for government roles, and were instead massacred.
You just only recently discovered liberalism came out kf the enlightenment, and that it was bloody. I'd recommend you study up on it for a few years and then come back and have opinions. Right now you don't know anything. It is reaolvable, but it is through study, not the interjection of your ignorant opinion.
