My Sister-in-Law and Her Sister's Idea. Putting Signs in Restrooms Reminding Women That Their Vote Is Secret.

Some women, especially those in abusive relationships, need to be reminded that their husbands or boyfriends cannot see who they are voting for - REGARDLESS of the disinformation some Trumpets and MAGAs are telling them!

And we're urging them to fill out their absentee ballots while out of the house and alone and immediately mailing them so they are not coerced into voting for Il Duce.

Just one of the little ways to help keep Wisconsin blue. I was with them there this past weekend and next weekend for GOTV effort.

Women: If your husband or partner threatens you based on who you vote for, LEAVE HIM/HER AT ONCE! (S) he's no good.

@badminton

Dee Dee printed up cards with the help lines to local women's shelters to hand out if necessary.

Thank you for the work you’re doing. Wisconsin also. I think Harris will win it here, but as always the margin will be too close for comfort.

It’s a fantastic idea!!

Charlie kirk is running ads basically telling young men to be in charge of voting for their families.

@justanothername He doesn't specifically say "guys, make sure your wives vote for Trump", but it definitely says this between the lines.

I think this has always been a big thing - to make one vote count as two. I know *plenty* of women who politically go along with whatever their husband wants. It's usually "I don't pay much attention to politics, but my husband is passionate about candidate X so I will vote the same as him."

It goes back to the original ideas of the USA, that political decisions were to be made by families who owned property, and not by individuals. And every family had a "patriarch". Despite the societal changes over the past 250 years, I think many MAGA republicans would still prefer it this way.

@trollslayer Correct which is why they can’t stand the idea of a woman becoming President.

I cannot believe MAGA is stooping that low and nobody's doing anything about it.

@beckyromero It's programmed into them by "traditional" societal values. Men are supposed to always be able to take charge, make decisions, do things, build things, provide for their families, etc.

In therapy they called it the man box. As a man, if there's any part of you that doesn't fit in the box, you're expected to deny it.

That's why I don't believe in traditional societal values. They are toxic AF and have absolutely 100% led to these so-called men being the way they are.

@LordShadowfire In the classic show South Pacific, there is a song that goes, you have to be taught to hate!
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
@samueltyler2 It's so true. And the Republican Party is using that as a blueprint for their campaign platforms.
