Dock Workers Strike is OVER!

They are getting a 62% raise to be paid out over the next six years. So now everyone can return the toilet paper and get your money back. Lol!!!

I heard some reporter laughing that over 99% of toilet paper is manufactured here in the US.

I am so happy the union and management came up with the compromise. The union asked for 75% while management offered 50%! It seems common sense prevailed!

@samueltyler2 Dockworkers’ union to suspend strike until Jan. 15

@sunsporter1649 I did not hear or see that, but the union needs to have a vote of membership to agree. Leadership approved the deal. That is how the system works.

@samueltyler2 Try and spin it all you like, there is no deal, just a delay in the strike until January

@sunsporter1649 it isn't a spin! I suggest you do not seem to understand union rules in the US!

But, there is still the issue of automation to be settled. But that will be much easier considerring the salary acceptance.

@sunsporter1649 give up, learn how union contracts work.

@sunsporter1649 the strike is suspended until jan. Salary has been agreed upon. Other issues will be negotiated until jan., at which time an agreement is expected.
@samueltyler2 Pure corrupt greed is the name of the union contract game.

@NativePortlander1970 then I guess that you do not approve of collective bargaining. The right for unions to organize and participate in that is one of the reasons the US has the strongest economy in the world.
