It wasn't a knock out like we saw with Harris over Trump but i do think Waltz came out ahead. He obfuscated on some details here and there regarding specific policy but Vance seemed to struggle more obviously in the face of some pointed questions about hoe policy A was going to achieve result X.
And yeah, trying to turn the tables about which party is a threat to democracy but then refusing to say that Trump lost in 2020...that was a bad look.

Vance came off as someone who kept his douchiness under control. trump did not "save" Obamacare. And migrants aren't at the root of all this country's problems.
Vance can talk about child care. But not everyone can bring their MIL into the country to be a nanny. Walz missed that dig.

Although I can't stand Trump or Vance, I think Vance won. He managed to somehow take Trump's unhinged, rambling comments and was able to shape it into something resembling a full-blown ideology. I hate to say it, it was a competent performance.

@SW-User However, he simply avoided answering the questions in many cases. The most glaring was when he was directly asked if he believed tRUMP won the election.

Walz, but just barely, and for the reason you say. It's unfortunate that Vance is much more coherent than Trump.
