White and/or Male Privilege. So many of you respond "Well i'm poor, i have troubles, how do i have privilege?"

Well i heard it explained very well by a boy in grade eight:

"Privilege doesn't come in the form of things we gain but in the lack of injustices we endure."

I came face to face with my privilege a long time ago, the night I was pulled over by a cop with an attitude. As soon as I rolled down my tinted windows and he saw I was white, his hand came off his gun.

Maybe it was because he couldn't see thru the tint & when he could you weren't armed which put him @ ease ?????

@pdockal Maybe…in the moment I just had the distinct impression that would have gone a different way if I hadn’t been. Thats not a gut feeling I’ve had with any other office before.

I know lots of officers and until the perp complies they are in a heightened state and react to their training and the statistics
It's our job to put them @ ease and let them do their jobs when you don't do that .........
