...Putin Puppets, like Trump and his MAGA followers?

I genuinely think that this site is too small for Russian propagandists to care about.

The Putin defenders on here are the extremely online rightists. America first is isolationist on foreign policy.

@LordShadowfire Pics is a tankie.

It's different to being a Trumpster in fundamental ways but ends up being Putin apologism due to anti-american contrarianism and post-soviet nostalgia. Obviously, Putin's regime isn't any version of socialism but somehow retains that kind of pull for some reason.

@windinhishair I really don't think Russian troll farms have even heard of SW.

It probably has maybe a few thousand regular(ish) users. I absolutely think they target Twitter, Facebook and Tiktok.

There are plenty of users here who have opinions on US politics who are not American (😇). I've seen this Aussie girl post so much pro-Putin and pro-Russian stuff. I really think that she is a real person. Just extremely online and alternative-right.

Though as @trollslayer says, they are no doubt influenced by things planted by trolls.

Russia paid a bunch of rightwing American Youtubers to push their lines, after-all. Dave Rubin, Tim Poole etc.

@Burnley123 There is absolutely nothing wrong with non-Americans posting about American politics. Indeed, many of them are better informed than Americans are. But I do see a few trolls who say they are American and post pro-Putin/Russia stuff, and then will use words like "whilst" or "colour" or "offence" instead of the American versions. Anyone can make a mistake, but when it happens repeatedly, the odds are that person is not an American who was born and raised in the US as they claim.

The Americans who were paid to post pro-Russian propaganda made huge amounts of money. Now they are claiming they are victims. lol
Let's pretend that you're Putin for a second...

What's going to be the best use of your time to target... a site like SW that has about a million users at best, at any given time - or an actor like Steven Segal, who has 569k followers ALL THE TIME. Seriously, that guy could upload a vid of himself polishing his shoes and people would still watch every second of it.

You can reach way more people just by offering free residency to three or four influencers and have them churn out your propaganda. There's always some people dumb enough to fall for it without verifying - just look at how many times Sly Stallone has died in recent years.

Oh yeah, Segal is Russian and Putin's mouthpiece now.

@HootyTheNightOwl

Did I say they are part of Putin's govt?

I said the Russian Diaspora.

Sorry, I should have made that more clear in the question and have edited the text below the poll.
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
@beckyromero The problem is you're using big words like diaspora, which they don't know. 😆
@beckyromero At which point did I suggest they were a part of Putin's Government??? 🤔🤔🤔

I stated that they're Putin's puppets - not a member of his Government...
The invasion was definitely provoked, whether we excuse it or remain against war.
You aren't allowed to understand. We're either for you or for Putin, peace eludes the American "mind". You smirk and, but continue to "not understand" peace. Very deadly.
Spotpot · 46-50, M
@Roundandroundwego Are you one of those far leftys who suport Putin.
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
Almost all of them. I talk to them on other subjects, and you'd almost be able to mistake them for reasonable, rational adults. But once you get them on the topic of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, they go full tankie. Just constant echoing of Putin's talking points. At least one of them has claimed without any trace of irony that he hates Putin, but wishes America would leave Russia alone.
