I know let’s address the rampant mental illness in this country! No? It’s much easier to address what is used to kill instead of addressing what is causing someone to kill.

@Unholymanswers other countries are having the mental health crisis without guns.

@Unholymanswers The weapon is static. The changing mental illnesses recognition of the population is wholly impossible.

@Unholymanswers Yeah, you're right. Let's ignore the tool of destruction with common sense gun safety regulations out of an irrational fear all guns will be confiscated based on a self-serving gun industry lobby promotion and instead address the infinite number of reasons why individuals choose to use the weapons of destruction that include...
1. Media attention and fame
2. Getting back at society by taking innocent and random lives
3. Getting even with people who are perceived to have wronged the aggrieved maniac
4. Copycat (See reason # 1)
5. Following instructions from a perceived leader
That will work! Yes...?

@Unholymanswers We should address both. But ask yourself this: with the US subject to many, many times more school shootings and mass murder with guns, if it is mental illness alone, then the US is many, many times more mentally ill than any other nation on earth, right?

@Unholymanswers That would work if governors and legislatures in Red States didn’t , you know, keep cutting the line item in the state budget for mental health services to levels that barely qualify as a psychic band-aid.

Ah, yes; the ol’ “There is no legislative fix” for gun control, because it’s seen as an “overreach” Funny how Republicans have no issue whatsoever with do)g that in other areas impacting personal choice. If only a fraction of the vigilance in the second panel below were applied to the issue dpected in the first, there would barely exist an issue with the first.
