Republican Thoughts and Prayers Break Out in Georgia Now That Summer is Over and School Shooting Season is Back.

Insincere thoughts and prayers will have to do since they have no possible solution to the problem.
ChipmunkErnie · 70-79, M
Thoughts and prayers are SO much easier than actually trying to deal with the issue.

Tragedy is that there is a solution. Send your kids to school in almost any other country..😷
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@whowasthatmaskedman There has been no progress. Republicans won't even implement gun control measures that a majority of Republicans support, let alone other ones. Guns are a national fetish and until that changes, school shootings will continue unabated.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@windinhishair Bringing me back to my point. If I want my grandkids safe, get them to another country 😷
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@whowasthatmaskedman I'm not arguing with you. School shootings are a uniquely American problem.
MarkPaul · 26-30, M
Well, maybe Insurrectionist-Cry-Baby-trump will offer the motivational speech he gave in Iowa when there was a school shooting there... "It’s horrible but we have to get over it. We have to move forward. We have to move forward."
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@MarkPaul Do you think Trump will lead the cheer "We're Not Going Back!"?
MarkPaul · 26-30, M
@windinhishair He's too busy working on bringing back, "And, who's going to pay for the wall" that he claimed he finished, while claiming it didn't solve the problem, while ALSO claiming if elected he will finish the (finished) wall. Personally, I think "the base" will fall for it again. That cheer still has shelf life.

Thoughts and prayers have achieved so much so far. Let’s keep thinking and praying.

I know let’s address the rampant mental illness in this country! No? It’s much easier to address what is used to kill instead of addressing what is causing someone to kill.

@Unholymanswers That would work if governors and legislatures in Red States didn’t , you know, keep cutting the line item in the state budget for mental health services to levels that barely qualify as a psychic band-aid.

@Unholymanswers
Ah, yes; the ol’ “There is no legislative fix” for gun control, because it’s seen as an “overreach” Funny how Republicans have no issue whatsoever with do)g that in other areas impacting personal choice. If only a fraction of the vigilance in the second panel below were applied to the issue dpected in the first, there would barely exist an issue with the first.

Summer was fun, but I was feeling kinda nostalgic for thoughts and prayers.

GA ranks 46th in most lax gun laws.
Handfull1 · 61-69, F
So damn sad!
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@Handfull1 Yes, it is. And it keeps happening over and over and over and..........

THE SHOOTER IS 14 YEARS OLD. :'(
chrisCA · M
@ChipmunkErnie I wonder if it is easier for American teenagers to get guns rather than birth control.
DonJuan · 41-45, M
this is awful

Don't worry boys, Kamala is on the way! By the time she's done with all those old white dudes and their right-wing gun slinging mentality, the only thing they'll be carrying in their sidearm holster is a cellphone. Go get `em Kammy!
