It amuses me how freedom of speech isn't celebrated in the UK. 😆
Guitarman123 · 36-40, M
@PatKirby who told you that?
@PatKirby Interesting that we embraced much of the teachings of the UK. Aka England
We gained our freedom from them. We fought them on more than one occasion.
Many of us may well be direct descendants of the English/ England ancestors who fled from or left there.
We were and still are allies in so many conflicts.
There is a connection to our “ cousins”…but they seem to be losing their freedoms to a new tyranny.
@Guitarman123 TBH Americans are right on this issue, one American law we should have here is their free speech laws, police don't need to be involved if a wetwipe is offended by a tweet.

@BritishFailedAesthetic they aren't. "Free speech " to those who claim to advocate it simply do so because they don't want to face consequences for what they say

@Thrust those who claim to advocate for "free speech " think that includes being able to express any opinions without consequences. Nobody follows the american constitution
@Guitarman123 Freedom of speech is as important as the right to vote, you have the freedom to express far left views, so it should be the same all around.
Guitarman123 · 36-40, M
@BritishFailedAesthetic difference is I don't expect to not have to face potential consequences as a result.
@Guitarman123 My opinions actually aren't very controversial, I'm an institutional soft left, blue Labour shill.

But you have hit the nail on the head, the establishment is more friendly to your far left views.
Guitarman123 · 36-40, M
@BritishFailedAesthetic thats absolute nonsense. Establishment is anti working class and is anti immigration. Establishment has greatly demonised striking workers and demonised asylum seekers
Guitarman123 · 36-40, M
@BritishFailedAesthetic establishment demonises pro palestine supporters as "anti semitic " and " hamas supporters "
@Guitarman123 I said soft left on the Labour side.

You know my views on Israel-Palestine. Israel need to use less force against Palestine but I find it disgusting when people are too cowardly to condemn Hamas.

@Guitarman123 What? I just said Israel need to calm down and stop killing so many civilians.

But you can't condemn Hamas, can you?
Guitarman123 · 36-40, M
@BritishFailedAesthetic hamas is a result of a problem created by zionism. Nelson mandella was considered a terrorist for many years after he was released from prison. Because he fought for the rights of black south africans he was demonised as a communist
@Guitarman123 You're a white guy comparing Hamas to genuine African freedom fighters, got it.

Guitarman123 · 36-40, M
@BritishFailedAesthetic again. Nelson mandella was on a terrorist list for years after he was released. Was also considered a terrorist when he went to jail. So that means i cant support causes of non white people?
@Guitarman123 What????????????? I was saying you actually compare Hamas to genuine freedom fighters?

@Guitarman123

Why would that be me? As per the Bible, I consider all humans made in the image of God.
Guitarman123 · 36-40, M
@BritishFailedAesthetic no such thing as god
Guitarman123 · 36-40, M
@BritishFailedAesthetic theirs even Christians who dont believe in god
@Guitarman123
theirs even Christians who dont believe in god

Oxymoron if there was ever a definition of the word.
