What is a Classic Liberal?

I don't like calling the Woke Leftists Liberal. I would love to have a classic Liberal in office.

Today, a true classic Liberal, is a Republican. He is for a free market, Free speech,
and limited government. He is also against heavy regulations and more government
control.

If you are a JFK type Liberal, you should be voting for Conservative Republicans.

Today, JFK would be called a far right extremist, by the progressive leftists.

I wish the Dems would focus on anti-trust, speaking of being classically liberal.

@Fukfacewillie Seriously when is the last time a corporate monopoly got broken up.

@CountScrofula the problem is in the definition.
@Fukfacewillie Democrats focusing on economics instead of identity politics would be lovely.

@samueltyler2 Well it's also just in the political climate and how the laws reinforce that. Mass ownership of everything by a very small number of companies is not in the best interest of the populace but both political parties will double down every time.

@BohemianBabe have you not been paying attention over the past 40-50 years? In the US the Dems seem to have become the ones trying to balance the budget and spread the wealth and pain, the Reps have persistently been the ones playing the train ckle down game, even though they see it never works, except to benefit the richest.

@CountScrofula How Microsoft was not broken up is beyond me.
