What is a Classic Liberal?

I don't like calling the Woke Leftists Liberal. I would love to have a classic Liberal in office.

Today, a true classic Liberal, is a Republican. He is for a free market, Free speech,
and limited government. He is also against heavy regulations and more government
control.

If you are a JFK type Liberal, you should be voting for Conservative Republicans.

Today, JFK would be called a far right extremist, by the progressive leftists.

Agree. In classic liberalism the role of the government is to serve the people. In Democrat liberalism, the role of the government is to manage the people.

@Heartlander your opinion! I personally believe that it has usually been the conservative wing in history which developed into totalitarian states. If you look at the current US Republican conservative natives their desire to control the citizens is apparent.
