Impact of Project 2025 on European Partners

As far as I can see, Project 2025, spearheaded by the Heritage Foundation, proposes consolidating executive power in the U.S., which could significantly impact European partners. The plan suggests a potential reduction in U.S. commitment to NATO, compelling European countries to enhance their own defense capabilities and increase military spending. This shift could strain transatlantic relations as Europe adjusts to a diminished U.S. role in its security framework.

Economically, Project 2025’s policies could lead to reduced cooperation on climate change initiatives, affecting global climate goals. Politically, Europe might seek to strengthen ties both internally and with individual U.S. states to mitigate the effects of a more isolationist U.S. administration.

What do you think about this?

People have been claiming Trump is an isolationist since 2016.

That has been rather thoroughly debunked at this point.

Second point assuming it is true is not a bad thing. Europe can start to behave like sovereign states for the first time in 80 years.

The end of an entire continent being a project of American vassal states would be a good thing. And it would actually create a situation for a reduction in military spending since European countries would not be putting their own countries at risk for some random whim in Washington.

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow This message brought to you by the Trump-Vance campaign.
@CorvusBlackthorne Nope just facts and history.
@CorvusBlackthorne And it is the far right running the show in Ukraine. Hell even Radio Free Europe was saying as much as of a couple years ago. Doesn't line up with policy though so suddenly this gets buried again.
@CorvusBlackthorne I see you are working out of Foggy Bottom now.

Facts, sir? Facts such as how a Trump regime will essentially hand Ukraine over to Russia without a fight?
And it is the far right running the show in Ukraine.
How strange, then, that they want Russia to destroy it.
I see you are working out of Foggy Bottom now.
I see you are resorting to ad hominem attacks once more.

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow you are clearly pandering to Donny Two Face Trump with your thinking.
@justanothername Not at all. Last time he was president he hired John Bolton and Mike Pompeo. Well known "isolationists" 😂

Ukraine is a mess the Democrats created under Biden's watch.
Is it? Is that why Donald Trump cut their defense funding during his presidency?
Given the fact you post near carbon copies of statements by Vicki Neuland...
That is an impressive trick, as I have never heard a word she says.
@CorvusBlackthorne The current mess started in 2013/2014. Try again.

I call bull since she basically is your brain when it comes to Ukraine. Or the State Department. Either way I guess I was right.

And it is so cute listening to someone who claims to be a leftist instantly turn into a war hawk and shill for the pentagon too.

Anti war and anti imperialism......until there are actual stakes co course. Than you are no different than a neo con.

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow It is far more adorable to watch a man who pretends to be against imperialist expansionism defending Russian expansionism.
@CorvusBlackthorne Um no. Not the same thing. Pretty sure Kiev is east of Berlin. And I am willing to bet you have no idea what that references.

But great job swallowing your war monger propaganda without any thinking at all.

Pretty sure Kiev is east of Berlin.
And yet it is west of the Russian border. You wish to give it to them, yes?
