Can the US FBI and DOJ be trusted to investigate the attempt to murder Trump?

@SunshineGirl History has shown that such investigations become either Cover-your-ass food fights or expose-your-political-opponents-ass food fights. Peek into practically any House or Senate investigation for examples. The upper management of the DOJ and FBI are political appointees, and members of congress are all politicians. Likewise our court systems. Judges are nominated and confirmed by politicians. Our adversarial systems elude fairness, so let biased entities perform independent investigations open to the public, and let the people believe for themselves. Isn’t that what happened with the JFK investigation? The result of which was mostly that the government can’t be completely trusted. It can’t be trusted to be completely transparent.
