Trump assassination attempt in Pennsylvania

It looks like he was hit.

Trump stated that he was all right.

I think the shooter would have had a head-on view of Trump's head (he was shooting from the left of the podium, as viewed from the front).

DJT was looking left when it happened, and was wearing a MAGA hat, which shaded and obscured his face.

He suddenly grabbed his right ear, which had been nicked at the very top, it seemed (he bled immediately). He was swarmed & tackled by Secret Service, who kept trying to shield his face as well as his body.

@Pfuzylogic Well, perhaps the shooter was a non-mil-trained guy who just gotban AR-15.

But if the military can "routinely" train M4 shooters to hit targets at 200 - 300 meters with the unaided eye, then a NON-military guy with a drive to do so can likely learn it, too. (And could likely get pointers from mil-trained shooters, and get the military handbook(s) about the M4 and sharpshooting / sniper training.)

@SomeMichGuy By the report I heard the guy was not really experienced with the gun and he'd just confronted someone else before training back onto Trump. I really wonder about the lax security perimeter they set up for the event.... AND that the RNC says they still won't stop people outside the area from carrying firearms except those going directly into the seating areas.
