Should we franchise the right to vote to sixteen year old?

Poll - Total Votes: 19
Extend to franchise.
Leave things as they are.

You can only vote on one answer.
The argument for it is that they will be twenty one by the time the governments term is finished, and the future belongs to them.

If the right to vote is given to octogenarians whose time is nearly past, so should those who hold the future.

This may encourage people to vote throughout their lives. OK, they may make some wrong decisions, lack maturity, but then again di t we all.

If you pay tax you should get a vote. No taxation without representation.

@Richard65 abolish tax/theft. And please tell me how i can avoid tax/theft? And can you let me know when the parasite class represents normal people?

Its a fairy tale.
Richard65 · M
@gol979 abolish tax/theft by all means. But how do you suggest we pay for infrastructure, education, clean water, etc? I'd be interested to hear your plan.
gol979 · 41-45, M
@Richard65 im sure if we all stopped voting and took back autonomy we could build/maintain infrastructure, educate our own children, and maintain clean water. You dont need tax/theft for those societal needs and its a shame that people think that. In fact people struggle to envisage a world without tax/theft.

Oh, and i guarantee we would do it way more efficiently and cheaper than government.
Richard65 · M
@gol979 maybe we could do that if we all lived in Anglo Saxon villages, circa 932AD, but I doubt very much that your plan will sustain a population of 66 million.
Cheers.

@Richard65 like i said, some cannot even think of a society without tax/theft.

How about this. I pay 1% tax on my earnings and no other taxes and everyone who loves tax/theft can pay what the government tell them (minimum 20% isnt it) and you can fund war, foreign aid (colonolism), mps wages and expenses, bailing out banks (that was straight up theft), giving trillions of theft payer money during "covid" (the largest transfer of wealth probably ever, see how much normal people lost to how much the richest gained during this period), imaginary garden bridges etc etc?

@gol979 I think we would also have to stop working in order to provide all these essential services ourselves. Do you have any idea of how difficult families found it to educate their own children part time during the pandemic lockdowns?
SunshineGirl · 36-40, F
@gol979 What services do you think 1% of your income will buy? 🤔
gol979 · 41-45, M
@SunshineGirl not war, corruption, vanity infrastructure project (boris' garden bridge etc), bailing out banks, giving trillions away during the "pandemic", tax on already taxed goods, death tax.

We already pay water, gas and electric bills (which were paid for by tax/theft money). Council tax. Road tax.

Its a scam.

@gol979

This is apparently how tax in Britain is spent. However, now they are out of the EU.
gol979 · 41-45, M
@SW-User welfare would be a whole lot but we have a separate tax for welfare, health, pensions called national insurance.

National debt is paying off bailing out banks etc.

Housing and utilities and business and industry will be handouts to companies who already make billions.

Its a scam of epic proportions.
