Illegal Alien Arrested In New Mexico Hit-And-Run That Killed 22-Year-Old
ICE has confirmed that the suspect in a fatal DUI hit-and-run that killed a 22-year-old in New Mexico is an illegal alien, per Yahoo News.
ICE told Fox News that they apprehended Jesus Sandoval-Martinez on Monday morning. He was charged with two counts of reckless driving, vehicular homicide, and leaving the scene of an accident resulting in great bodily harm or death.
Fox News confirmed with a source close to the case that Sandoval-Martinez is a Mexican national with no social security number or a valid driver’s license.
The Albuquerque Police Department speculates that the 21-year-old was driving intoxicated when his Dodge pickup truck crashed into a Tesla and a Toyota Corolla at an intersection overnight in Albuquerque.
After the crash, Sandoval-Martinez fled on foot. Witnesses reported that his speech was slurred and he was visually impaired.
Witnesses and bystanders were able to follow Sandoval-Martinez into a Walgreens, where they held him until law enforcement arrived.
The illegal alien ran a red light, police confirmed, which resulted in the death of 22-year-old Tiger Gutierrez.
Mia Montoya, Gutierrez’s passenger, was hospitalized and is now in stable condition, Breitbart reported. The driver of the Toyota was treated for minor injuries.
