How will Donald Trump, if elected, meet with foreign dignitaries or participate in organizations such as NATO? Felons can not leave the United States.

iwishuwerehere · 61-69, M
He won’t be a felon. His conviction will be overturned as soon as the appeals court gets it.
Strictgram · 70-79, C
@iwishuwerehere Exactly right.
Strictgram · 70-79, C
@SevIsPamprinYouAlways Care to wager?. Trump's appeal will certainly be successful.
SevIsPamprinYouAlways · 56-60, F
@Strictgram Of course the man now acccused of sexually assaulting a teenager would appeal to you, as you enthusiastically endorse sp*nking kids on the bare, which is only one step removed from the actual thing.

If he were to be unable to leave the United States he'd send representatives abroad.

Most international discussions are by that - Presidents and Prime Ministers participate only in the very few top-level meetings.

If nothing else it might mean he can't invite himself to other countries on "State Visits"!

The UN and NATO are not operated by Heads of State or Heads of Government, and those two organisations' head offices are in the USA anyway.

@samueltyler2 Ah, I see. The departmental expertise being still there but those choosing have to do so with an eye on what Sir wants...?

Or is in fact the number of those who left, really a very small proportion of the administrators? Publicity tends to make problem like this far worse than reality, leading to those lazy "they are all...." cliches.
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@ArishMell in the US there are people appointed by the administration, subject to the whims of POTUS, and fir the moment, the staff people, aka civil servants, generally career people who worked their way to whatever position they may attain by merit. #45 tried to force out any he could who didn't play by his rules. He and his followers have aimed their arrows at the entire civil service workforce. They want to abolish the laws which, currently, protect those workers, so they can be fired for no other cause but disagreeing with the POTUS. Such people as career scientists in the EPA, DoA, FDA, and on and on, would find their jobs in jeopardy. There are sufficient good people, his track record has not shown his interest. He prefers to appoint people to pay them for their loyalty or his ability to control the to do his wishes.

@samueltyler2 I see. Thank you for explaining it.

Non disclosure agreements are totally legal, And unlike They alleged, Were not paid for with campaign funds. Stop listening to Twinkie eating Bragg, And fake news !
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@Majorsite read the court day comments! The primary charge was tax fraud!
Bumbles · 51-55, M
The law does not apply to Trump.
Theyitis · 36-40, M
1. He’s pulling us out of NATO, right? 2. As I understand it felons can leave the US, there’s just a long list of countries they can’t legally go to. So that would potentially be a problem for meeting with most foreign dignitaries but not all.

The magic misdemeanor that turns into a felony !
Majorsite · 61-69, M
I saved the front page news stories about His felony convictions, Because they will be valuable collectables in the future ! When just as the Russia hoax, And Ukraine hoax, They are debunked !
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@Majorsite good luck. 12 jurists, and including Republicans found him guilty, all 12, unanimously on all 34 counts! You drank much too much KoolAde. Even his lawyers did not claim he didn't sign those documents!

I was just blocked by the poster of the thread I responded to. Apparently he can't come up with anything that refute my statements.

@samueltyler2 100% railroad job, You can go down with demented joe's sinking ship.
sundazzled · 22-25, F
I've heard it said being president negates all the felon restrictions while in office. Not sure if it's true or not.

He'll pardon himself, most likely. And for the crimes he can't pardon himself for, he'll lean on the states in question until they do it.

That's the thing people don't grasp about this man. We can't beat him by playing by the rules. We cannot stop him by being nice. That's not how you beat guys like him.
