Hush. Don't you know the GOP wants to keep that a secret?
SamInAZ · 41-45, M
@ChipmunkErnie wtf are you even babbling about?
ChipmunkErnie · 70-79, M
@SamInAZ Haven't you seen the GOP talking heads telling us our economy is in horrible condition -- in spite of all the positive news -- and we need Trump to save us from economic collapse?

It's not that China, India, the Middle East, Russia, Ukraine, etc. do not have smart and entrepreneurial people, it's that the best and brightest, from all these countries, are choosing to join the best and brightest from around the world, to make the US the center of economic power.
It creates a massive momentum thats just too difficult for anyone to beat.

@Northwest As I said earlier. We are not going to agree on this. Chinas outcome is not ideal. Nor is any other nations post Covid. However, America was on life support and teetering on recession before covid started and the levers every country is pulling now to recover ar pulled harder in the us and and no longer functioning without the cracks showing. Possibly we should both sit back and wait for the result..😷

@whowasthatmaskedman Yes, the recession everyone has been promising every year, multiple times every single year.
Yet it has yet to happen, and the USD today is looking the best it has in decades. The rest is speculation.

@Northwest But that recession is being hidden by the de facto devaluation of the currency. It looks like inflation if viewed fron up close. But asset prices continue to rise, to protect the rich..😷

My grocery bill is up 35% since Biden took office, my insurance rates have gone through the roof, gasoline is a couple bucks a gallon more.
Those are just some of the reasons I will not be voting for Biden.

@independentone If people truly voted their pocketbooks only the very wealthy would ever vote Republican. What’s Republican economic policy? Tax cuts for the rich that are supposed to “trickle down”. Yeah right. That’s not going to help most people’s pocketbooks.
independentone · M
@Theyitis Well, Biden certainly hasn't helped mine, and he lies at least as often, if not more than Trump did.
Ynotisay · M
@Theyitis What gets me is in both the short and longer terms, taking in to account things like war, market crashes, bank bailouts etc., Democratic administrations perform SIGNIFICANTLY better than Republicans when it comes to the economy. It's not even close. But then the pattern takes over.
Republicans drive the economy in to the ground, Democrats take the sometimes hard steps to get it back on track and growing, Republicans convince stupid people that THEY are the ones who handle the economy best, and we're back to square one. And that typically includes providing the very richest with even more. Over and over again. I think it's safe to say we just live in a dumb country.

I think part of it is that Europe is a bunch of countries and the U.S. is just one. Policies vary. But the U.S, which means a lot of people, is most definitely driven by capitalism so there's steps taken to make sure the machine keeps running. The downside is that the lions share of the wealth is consolidated in to the hands of a very, very small minority despite the majority serving as the stream for that wealth. So on paper the U.S. is ahead of the game but that doesn't mean the citizens are. Obviously it could be far, far worse. Many other countries are suffering for real. Our lane is to keep a lot of people with their heads barely above water.

Myth.
It only grows 'faster' when it can export more than it can produce creating a constant 'need' from buying nations.

Why don’t you know the difference between TYHAN and THAN?
THAN is a word and TYHAN, you know, isn’t.
