Lying Biden Repeats ‘I was Appointed to Annapolis’ Lie for the Umpteenth Time

Joe Biden just can’t let go of his myriad of outright lies about his biography, and one of his favorite lies is that he was “appointed” to the U.S. Naval Academy at Annapolis so he could “play football.” This never happened. But he makes this false claim over and over again, and he just did it again last weekend.

The senile crook was speaking to the graduates at West Point on Saturday where he once again trotted out his repeatedly debunked lie that he was “appointed” to West Point when he was 29, but decided to go to Delaware because he couldn’t compete with “Roger Staubach and Joe Bellino,” two of the academy’s most famous NFL stars.

The fool told the grads that Sen. J. Caleb Boggs was the one who appointed him to the U.S. Naval Academy.

“I found out two days earlier they had a quarterback named Roger Staubach, and a halfback named Joe Bellino. And I said, I’m not going there. I went to Delaware. Not a joke,” he lied.

There is a lot wrong with this story.

First of all, Joe Biden was 29 in 1972. And neither Staubach nor Bellino were at Annapolis in 1972.

Secondly, neither Staubach nor Bellino played at Annapolis at the same time. Bellino left the school in 1961, the year BEFORE Staubach even got there, Fox News noted.

And on top of all that, Biden wasn’t in college in 1972 when he was 29. He had graduated from Delaware in 1965.

Furthermore, when he was 29, he was running for Senate against. J. Caleb Boggs, not preparing for college.

Finally, there is no proof at all that he was ever considered for an appointment to the U.S. Naval Academy.

So, there isn’t one single part of that story that is true.

But Biden trots this lie out over and over again.
