So what did Trump think would happen?

He's complaining that this trial is taking away from his campaigning.

Well, if not this trial, it would be another one. And if not that one, still another one...

Most of us learn that if you act a certain way you are going to be spending a lot of time defending yourself. Trump never learned that.

Paying off a pr0n star to hide an affair that you had while your mail-order wife was pregnant with your kid - what did he think would happen here?

The number 1 problem for the prosecutors in all the upcoming Trump trials, is finding jurors not already serving on another Trump trial.
@SevIsPamprinYouAlways Then why haven't I received royalties?

Because you believe that getting paid through a contract with the National Enquirer is the way it's done.

@NoThanksLeon Because it’s a work of nonfiction! 😂

This is what happens when you choose to run for office amidst multiple criminal trials 🤷🏼‍♀️

@AbbySvenz He probably prefers it this way, so he can complain about it. Claiming victimhood rallies his cult.

@trollslayer I'm sure he believes going to jail will be good for donations. He believed his Fans would be outside the courtroom but they're not. I'm surprised he hasn't said People are setting themselves on fire for me.

Remember, kids- America can't be made great again unless the worst president in its entire history is at the helm!

I believe that his entire approach is to do whatever he wants and then shout, threaten, and publicly name people as enemies. As the consequences build he hopes a horde of his followers will remove everyone who is causing him trouble.

So NDA’s are illegal?
Vin53 · M
@sunsporter1649 Why do you insist on asking rhetorical questions that have no context or relevance. Ambiguity isn't the trait you think it is for you.
The part I'm still wrapping my head around is that the payoff itself wasn't illegal, but writing it off as a legal expense was. What the seven layer fuсk is wrong with this country?
Vin53 · M
@LordShadowfire See, once you define it as a legal expense on paper it now becomes a crime.

@LordShadowfire It was a campaign expense. He did it so he could win the election, but he didn’t write it off that way. Thus, he lied about what people’s contributions to his campaign would go to. I think.
