I'm accused of wanting to gеnоcidе all Palestinians when I point out that Hamas is a terrorist organization. Then I'm accused of wanting to destrоy Israel when I point out that Israel is committing gеnосіԁе.

The violence needs to be stopped.

It’s why I don’t talk about this issue, because people get extremely defensive to the point of obstructing any discussion.

@tindrummer So, I just googled the difference between ethnic cleansing and genocide, because I was so sure I was going to win this one. Turns out there's a technical ticky tacky difference (in my opinion). It seems if you just want to get rid of all the Palestinians in Palestine, that's ethnic cleansing, whereas if you want to kill all Palestinians around the world, that's genocide.

I still don't see any point in differentiating between the two.

Or focus on the land rather than the people.

I'm not saying there it's not accurate, but that word has a lot of baggage.

@MistyCee And rightly so. I don't toss it around lightly. I reserve it for when I mean that somebody wants every member of a race, religion, or nation out of their country, one way or another.

The Israeli government under Netanyahu wants all the Palestinians out of Gaza. Hamas wants all the Israelis out of Israel.
