Anyone read Rishi Sunak's plan for Tory manifesto ?

I mean here's a guy who's own party spent and 'lost' BN£55 on PPE during covid
Has presided over mass retirement of Doctors that has seen the collapse of the health service.
STILL hasn't recovered the alleged millions owed by foreign companies in back taxes owed over the course of the last 12 years despite that being a pledge when he took office.

But he thinks killing disability benefit for many and essentially ending unemployment benefits is a vote winner.

I think he is still writing it . . we had a questionnaire from the "prime minister's office" this week asking for our opinion on the big issues (as interpreted by the Tories . . ) Seems a bit strange that they need to ask after being in power for 14 years.

@SunshineGirl wouldn't that make them coneys... Or rabbits?

@Convivial They behaved like rabbits. One by one Tory MPs were brought down by various sexual scandals (having set out their stall on high personal morality). Everyone felt sorry for John Major, the hapless bank clerk who was just trying to do his best . . 10 years later it was revealed he was having an extra-marital affair with his environment minister 🤦‍♀️

@SunshineGirl that would tend to poison the environment, one would think 🤔

Mr Sunak, the bit part hedge fund banker who was in the thick of it as part of a small team of hedge fund bosses who shared nearly £100m after an audacious stock market bet that lit the touchpaper on the 2008 financial crisis.

@Ironicman One and the same !

Although, thinking about it, didn't we put up with similar from George Osborne ?

A totally different direction and equally damaging to the same socio-economic groups ?

He's complaining about sick-note culture. Typical Tory trick of punching down to disguise from all the problems they've created.

Also, it's so hard to get a doctor's appointment these days that it would be hard to get a sick note.

@jshm2 It's being predicted that the Conservatives are going to lose the forthcoming election.

Not just lose it but lose huge !
Probably seeing them in opposition; with many MP'S intending to retire or resign their seats if they don't get working majorities in their constituencies.

And with no growth in the economy and the Bank of England threatening all k8nds of restrictions on potential borrowing, that means even less money available to run the country.
