Why are there so few politicans with beards ?

in the last couple decades when was the last time there was a presidental candidate with a beard ???

Look no further than the President of the Czech Republic, Peter Pavl. He’s also an ex-military badass, who often calls out Putin for the power-hungry warlord he is.
