The Dreaded Trump Ego
Most of America (Namely mainstream conservative Republicans) see this as a problem. President Trump was the best president of all time. He gave the country the best economy, secure borders and peace in the MIddle East (for the first time in history.) And he WAS legally reelected.
(By the way, left wing assholes, Trump wasn't the first to protest a rigged election. He was the first Republican do do it.)
Most of us now wish Trump had just been quiet after Election Night and gone back to his business. But NOOOOO, he had to hold that rally and ANTIFA was able to start a riot while Nazi Pelosi told the National Guard to stay away.
If NOTHING had been said, if he had just faded away from the public spotlight, (like Reagan did after he lost a primary to Ford), then TODAY he would be a front runner with even a LARGER poll gap. Trump's superior leadership would have ushered in a Republican Congress that would have fixed what Unelected Joe broke. Nobody today would even be thinking that Joe would have a chance at reelection. Trump would have the highest poll numbers of all time.
He's going to be elected, anyway. He is the best candidate for the job, has the best former record and he is up against the worst president in history.
But those of us who back him STILL wish he had shown some restraint. Public image is a lot more important than an ego.
