Are the Democrats following in the Republican trend of using misinformation by claiming Trump's words "blood-bath" clearly out of context?

They are using the tactics an elderly madman used which worked most recenty to get Trump elected preident. Its pathetic, undemocratic. & scary; however the quitessensial theory being tested is if any press is good press. It might backfire for the democrats. Literally being a demolition move. . . Lol. Also trump did say it so. .
