You can only vote on one answer.
I'm gonna copypasta what I wrote in a different thread.
Voters in the United States have the right to cast their ballots freely, safely and privately through a secret ballot.

The modern conception of a “secret ballot” originated in Australia and was initially adopted in the American electoral system during the 1888 presidential election. By allowing voters to keep their ballots secret, they could make their voices heard without the fear of coercion or intimidation.
That's right, when Boss Tweed could see peoples' votes in the 1870s, he could intimidate them; thereby destroying the notion of free elections.

The best means to preserve a secret vote is the paper ballot. Paper ballots can be counted and recounted as many times as necessary. Mail-in ballots arrive in a protective envelope signed by the voter, accompanied by the voter's address. This signature and address are verified before the ballot is removed. Then, the ballot and enclosing envelope are separated. But the envelope and ballot can both, separately, be saved and recounted and re-verified as many times as you like.

This of course leads to the question of voter ID. Let me cut and paste my standard comment on that:

I've got NO PROBLEM with the theory of voter ID, as long as it's free and easy. I DO have a problem with the practice of making it differentially harder for the elderly & working poor. https://www.brennancenter.org/our-work/research-reports/challenge-obtaining-voter-identification

"Voter ID laws have been estimated by the U.S. Government Accountability Office to reduce voter turnout by 2-3 percentage points, translating to tens of thousands of votes lost in a single state."

How a person votes is a private thing that's why they put a divider between polling booths. In another post you said that some states are already releasing the info – I think all the people that had their voting info released should launch a class action suit. Cheers!
Recorded, yes.
Made public, no.

Available offline by subpoena? Sure.
Why, so he can come after me?
