I'm getting damn sick of Alberta. Trudeau is rolling out a new universal pharmacare plan which, among other things would see insulin covered.

The premier of Alberta, Marlaina Smith has decided to opt out of this plan. Why? Because it's from the federal Liberals and just FUCK all the people paying thousands of dollars a year on insulin THAT WE LITERALLY CANNOT LIVE WITHOUT.

I hate this place.

Alberta is culturally and politically in deep south USA.

Weather? Not so.
@Burnley123

Yeah for real. It's crazy.
The people here are so tribalistic. There are so many of them that are just really good people...but only to the tribe with which they identify.

That's what conservative means to me. Looking out for number 1 and screw everyone else.

@PikachuNever live under a tyrant because you will always be oppressed.
@Diotrephes

She's definitely showing that she doesn't care what Albertans actually want as long as her corporate masters are pleased.

It should be easy to defeat such a person in an election. Simply depict the person as an enemy to the people.
@Diotrephes

Unfortunately it doesn't work that way. Her main voter base are among the people getting hosed the hardest and yet they cheer her on.
What does comped mean?
@Spoiledbrat

As in the same way most medical treatment is payed for via taxes, so too would certain medicines like insulin and birth control.

I hate Trudeau but you have a point. The premier isn't thinking clearly

I read it’s because if Trudeau doesn’t get all provinces to agree with National Pharmacare the NDP will be upset and they will call for another election.

We don’t need another election. We need the bill for Pharmacare to pass.
@iamonfire696

Yeah it's just the Conservatives working against the interests of Canadians just so the can try to claw back power.
