Biden is waiting to sign the Republican-negotiated border bill that Trump has ordered Republicans to oppose so Trump can use it as a campaign issue. The bill could be signed by Biden tomorrow if Republicans would stand with their own bill instead of giving Trump another blowjob.

But when it comes to Republicans, rich politicians who run the establishment, they actually love illegal immigration for the cheap labor. They just pretend to be against "open borders" because their voters are racist.

@LordShadowfire I think I’d need to understand this history of the US in a particular country to make that conclusion. I’m a little skeptical that without US interference such places would be otherwise healthy vibrant countries, so would need to know more.

Back in 1989, we invaded them, ostensibly to oust dictator Manuel Noriega (who, by the way, was known to have ties to our intelligence agencies, and most probably was installed by the US in the first place, and then outlived his usefulness), and basically fucked up their infrastructure, offering no attempts at reconstruction whatsoever.

@LordShadowfire I don’t really see that pretty minor operation resulting in a wave of immigrants from Panama. The country didn’t decent into chaos. Same with Mexico which has been independent for 150 years. Sorry, hombre, not saying it’s impossible just don’t see the evidence.

For Panama the opposite would seem the case. Under the new democratic government led by Guillermo Endara—who most thought won the nulled 1989 presidential elections—Panama began to improve.
