THE REAL PROBLEM IS NOT AT THE SOUTHERN BORDER

It`s criminal enterprises here in and arount the US illegally employing illegal immigrants. It will not stop until they refocus 0 tolorance on knowingly and unknowingly having illegal immigrants on the payrol with RICO charges and full seizier and liquitation of corporate resources of companies caught.

Non union Construction firms are manning concrete crews? That's a hallucination?

Arborists that still charge marginally lower dollars an hour for the service using risky methods and cheap undocumented workers competing with the more established companies who have invested big money into safer equipment is just imaginary?

Painting and drywall companie, transportation, longshoremen, manufacturing and assembly lines.

Nobody notices the non English speaking clusters not speaking English and "quitting" their job after an injury?

No insurance or papers means no osha problems, no bosses worried about unionization, and fewer to suspect if someone makes waves.

Which is not odd. The same politicians are being funded by unions who actually work for the corporations, not those they collect dues from. Funny how so few unions even exist anymore in industry yet unions are so adamant against right to work legislation.

But this is just tip of iceberg stuff. Entire books couldn't cover all of the phoney baloney taking points about a better life and 12 to 20 people cramming into one house.

It's amazing I'm the only one willing to point this stuff out that I suppose a couple dozen people already read and decided not to risk being canceled for saying something.

@SteelHands I decided to delete and move my thread reply comment away from what I expect will be a flurry of flamer posts or reply blocked readers.

Well that's a part of the problem , but that won't fix it. The only way to really stop the flow of illegals is to improve the economies and living conditions and end corrupt military, legal systems and governments where they are fleeing from. And smash the drug cartels with military force for the terrorist organizations that they are. Only then will they want to remain where they are. In fact if that could be accomplished I think we would hear a giant sucking sound coming from the border as millions returned to their origami homes.

Even though they have a better life in the USA, few of them truly acclimate to America and still consider themselves Mexicans, Columbians, Brazilians, Peruvians, Guatemalans , or wherever they fled from .

That's my opinion after living for 40 yrs within 120 miles of the border. From living and working in a region that has changed , for the worse, before my eyes from the affects of illegal immigration.

@ManKing You don't really believe that would have any affect on the drug cartels do you? You obviously don't have any clue of what you are talking about. Illegal immigration and what creates it are totally separate issues from what drives and powers the cartels.

OK Alabama. Your farmers, in an already incredibly under-performing state, are failing because they can't find workers to do the work that immigrants did. And that's not exclusive to Alabama. Where are the real 'muricans stepping in to take those jobs? That's what everyone was yelling about, right? "They're taking our jobs." OK. Then step up and take the freaking job.

And don't say around the nation because that means the law is the same everywhere. California legally hires undocumented workers and you should be thankful for it. Your food is far less expensive because of it. Those men and women bring something important to our table and they're treated like human beings. Maybe that's one of the reasons California economically succeeds and Alabama fails.

@Alabamarednek So what's your point? If the work isn't getting done, regardless of the reason, it's not getting done. But next time you drive by a field during harvesting make sure to count the white boys out there busting their asses. And if see any I can guarantee they're not working as the Mexican man next to them. Mexicans work. "Real" Americans whine.
Alabamarednek · 36-40, M
@Ynotisay farmers just have to figire out how to fit FAMILY LIVING WAGES imto the equation. Not sweat shop plantation wages. It`s that simlple. And it IS AFFORDABLE.
Ynotisay · M
@Alabamarednek Ah It's simple. OK. So lets say an employer decides to pay labor twice what they're making now. Alabama minimum wage is 7.25 an hour. Tied for lowest in the country. Where do you think that money will come from? Out of the farmers pockets so they can be nice guys? The government? Or does it come out of YOUR pocket? In the form of far higher prices for what you eat?
Maybe you're cool with that. Maybe you're one of the "real Americans" who don't whine about food prices. Or fight against minimum wage increases. Or sees brown migrant farm workers as valuable human beings who deserve a better life.
I don't know. Something tells me that's not you. I have a feeling those 'dirty brown people' are your enemy, huh? Because some people just need enemies to exist.

Regarding the seizure idea. Wiseguys have this saying. It goes: when you buy someone ya figure they'll stay bought. That's not always the case. Some guys think they're buying Batman but what they end up with is Dracula wearing a Halloween mask.

I'm not gonna predict the future but I wouldn't be surprised at all that those politically funded shortcoats plan at some point to "fix" something economical with just such a plan.

By the way you don't happen to have seen any vampires roaming here have ya? Reason I'm asking is because I heard they need to say what they wanna do before they do it. Then be asked to do it before they actual can. 😏

As I have been saying for many years if you want to stop illegal immigrants fine and imprison the people who hire them. But the wealthy depend on cheap labor so that won't happen.
Alabamarednek · 36-40, M
@hunkalove it's not just people. Break up and liquidate corporation caught knowing and unknowingly employing them and leave there shareholders high and dry tellimg them they should have been more careful with who they invested in. Make examples of a couple of national or internationally known corporate gients liquidating them to nothimg.

Its many problems on many levels
Securing the boarder is just one problem
Let's do that then we can address the rest of the issues
We shouldn't get involved in other countries affairs just to solve our issues

For such a major controversy not many ppl seem to be interested in discussing this.
goodlil666 · 51-55, MVIP
@SteelHands I was thinking the same thing, but few people truly understand the complexities of all the issues surrounding illegal immigration. Closing the border is a major step but so much more is needed to stop the flow. It is an issue that has affected my life daily for 40 years from a front row seat.
