Democrats have been alienating their own base

Democrats have been alienating their own base. Recently many Jews, but before that many whites, many heterosexuals (mostly men back then but women now too). Then they alienated blacks with increase in crime in their neighborhood and females seeing transgenders over taking them (mostly in sports, for now, i.e. some controversy in women's chess now too). Recently they alienated Muslims with their lgbtq+ school curriculum. And most recently Jews with the increase in antisemitism.

I don't claim to predict who will win next presidential election, but it does not look good for democrats.

I've never voted Republican. I have voted Democrat in the past, in the very distant past, not in recent elections however.

How have democrats alienated white people? What policies specifically?

How have democrats alienated heterosexual people? What policies specifically?

How have democrats caused an increase of crime in black neighborhoods?

Transgender athletes are super rare. The number of people being impacted by that is miniscule. The fearmongering is far larger than the occurrence.

What lgbtq+ school curriculum? What are you talking about?

How are democrats being antisemitic? Criticizing Israel is not antisemitic. And barely any democrats dare to do that much.

This sounds like it's entirely made up of right wing culture war talking points.

TBH, it was fucked up that Biden said he was going to put "a black woman" on the SCOTUS. Then the Democrats opposed the SCOTUS ending affirmative action AND the ruling that said a web designer could refuse to make work for gay customers. They were in favor of private businesses being allowed to discriminate based on race, but not sexuality. Also, Obama being outed for going to a racist church should have ended his career.

Everything else Sunsporter mentioned is just nazi shit. And I never debunk nazi shit at this hour.

All churches are racist.
@Diotrephes Absolutely not.
Diotrephes · 70-79, M
@BohemianBoo Can you name a church that isn't racist? Christianity is racist.
@Diotrephes Yes, but most individual churches ignore the racism in Christianity. They also ignore the slavery, rape, and anything else that goes against modern western morals.
However, Obama's church was teaching legit Black Supremacy.

Would it had been better if he had spent his time being indoctrinated on how supreme the Jews are? After all, that is what church is all about.
@Diotrephes Very few, if any, churches teach that.
However, I agree that Christian Zionism does feed into Jewish Supremacy. But even then, they don't teach that Jews are racially superior, they just teach that the Jews need to be in Israel so that the rapture can happen. Which is also insane, but that's religion.

@BohemianBoo I only see a picture of sunsporter burying his head in the sand, so not sure what nazi talking points he had.

It does feel like identity politics to promise specific race and sex as a Supreme Court pick, but I don't really see that as alienating to white people. I'm also not sure how opposing the end of affirmative action is alienating to white people. The people who would be alienated by those things weren't likely to vote Democrat before that either. And "whiteness" isn't really a factor of why they would be alienated. Believe me, i know the type that comparing about companies having "minority quotas" and hiring "less skilled" people to fill them.

I honestly don't think Obama's church mattered much. I'm generally used to most churches teaching offensive things. So long as the guy doesn't try to legislate his faith, he's better than most conservatives out of the gate.
@ViciDraco
It does feel like identity politics to promise specific race and sex as a Supreme Court pick, but I don't really see that as alienating to white people
Because by saying, whoever the pick is, they're going to be a black woman, they're telling everyone that they value race and gender in a way that shuts out white men. The whole reason so many black people left the Republican Party for the Democratic Party is because the Republicans wanted to maintain White Supremacy. Now the Democrats are making a different version of the same mistake, though not nearly to the same degree.
I'm also not sure how opposing the end of affirmative action is alienating to white people.
Same reasoning. Affirmative action says that by virtue of race, some people will have it easier or harder to get a job or a college entry. It's racism, plain and simple.
The people who would be alienated by those things weren't likely to vote Democrat before that either.
Absolutely not! One of the reasons so many white working-class people don't vote is because they feel like Republicans only care about the rich, and Democrats only care about "special interest" groups. This is a major reason why Trump won in 2016. All the Democrats did was suck up to immigrants and black people. If you were a white worker, you weren't being spoken to.
I honestly don't think Obama's church mattered much. I'm generally used to most churches teaching offensive things.
What if it was a predominantly white church and they were teaching Christian Identity?
I guarantee if that was the case, that person would be blackballed from the DNC.
@Diotrephes How is Christianity racist?
Diotrephes · 70-79, M
@BritishFailedAesthetic It is based on the worship of an ethnicity that claims that it is God's chosen people When I read that as a teen I said to hell with it.

In the old days almost all of the White churches were proponents of segregation. Plus the Bible even preaches racial segregation.

In contrast, the Koran is far less racist.
@Diotrephes
Plus the Bible even preaches racial segregation.
No, that was instructions to the Israelites for holiness in OT law, nothing to do with race. If you remember there were other ethnicities who were also with God's people- Moses's wife for example.

Now you're just trolling.

You are completely wrong. The biblical fairytale is racist from the first page to the last page. Sure, Moses married a stranger instead of banging his sister, which ticked her off to no end. But his first commandment was to go on an ethnic-cleansing program against the people whose land he was stealing. If that is being holy then it's not for me.
@Diotrephes You've not read the Koran have you?
Diotrephes · 70-79, M
@BritishFailedAesthetic Yes, I've read it. It is a mixture of Judaism and Christianity but far less racist than they are. Anyone can become a Muslim. BTW, Jews and Muslims collaborated against Christians for centuries. The Spanish finally kicked both groups out.
@Diotrephes Anyone can become a Christian.

Sure they can. Just look at the orange traitor trump. Christianity is the easiest religion to claim to be a member of. All a person has to do is just say "I'm a Christian." There are no special clothes, public rituals, pilgrimages, or special rites. The person doesn't even have to go to church.

Aren't those groups classified as Christians?
