Why don’t House Republicans want a elect a speaker of the house?

Would they rather show their inability to organize and elect than show any sign of competency?

Well, the simple fact of the matter is that Republicans have a House Majority. If the Repugs aren't able to cooperate together to elect a Speaker, how the hell are they planning to Govern the Nation, if they are ever Elected again? I see Right Wingers on here blaming the Democrats, the Democrats are in no way beholden to vote for a Republican Speaker, which shows in their unanimous support for Jeffries, at least THEY are United. So place the blame where it belongs, solely on the Republicans and their radical 8...

@spjennifer The Party of Trump, formerly known as the GOP, does not care to govern.

Tell me where I can read or hear their plans for improving the lives of all Americans? You can't....because they have no plan, only to wage culture wars, stop access to the ballot box, elect judges who share their ideals, and bring about an authoritarian regime....White Christian Authoritarian Fascist State.

@JSul3 I would tend to agree with that as that appears to be the type of candidates they are getting elected now, it's pretty sad really ☹️

@spjennifer Nobody's blaming the Democrats for the Republican chaos.

However,if the Democrats didn't want to see this happen, why did they all vote to remove McCarthy? Seems kinda stupid if their motivation was to have stability and continuation. They coulda easily saved him....and we wouldn't be here.
spjennifer · 56-60, T
@SumKindaMunster Can you honestly say McCarthy was worth saving?
@SumKindaMunster They voted to remove McCarthy because they want Jeffries to be speaker. Also, McCarthy proved that he can’t be trusted. You should really be mad at the gang of eight who instigated this mess because McCarthy kept the government open.
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@LeopoldBloom Let's be clear Bloom, I'm not mad at all. Just calling out the hypocrisy on this as I like to do.
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@spjennifer It's not my call. I'm pointing out the hypocritical smugness from the Democrats and their confederates on this. If they were so concerned about continuity and stability in the House, then they shouldn't have voted to remove McCarthy.
spjennifer · 56-60, T
@SumKindaMunster But wasn't it the Repuglicans who started the procedure to have McCarthy removed? You can't call out the Democrats for being hypocritical if it's his own party that wanted him out. The Dems don't have the Majority to even try that. Had the Democrats tried to have him removed you'd have been screaming bloody murder at them for that too...
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@spjennifer You missed my point, either unintentionally or purposely.
spjennifer · 56-60, T
@SumKindaMunster No, I didn't "miss" your point, you're attempting to blame the Democrats for ousting McCarthy when it was the Repuglicans who did that all on their own, they didn't even need the Dems to oust him, they have the Majority, it's pretty simple really...
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@spjennifer No sorry, wrong. I am not "blaming" the Democrats for McCarthy's ouster. I am calling out their hypocrisy in criticizing the Republicans for not electing another speaker in a timely fashion and their stated reasons included continuity and the need to ensure the funding of the government before time runs out.

If those things truly mattered to the Democrats, then they shouldn't have participated in voting McCarthy out and contributing to the leadership void and risking government shutdown.

Got it?

@SumKindaMunster He made deal; you pay your money and take your chances.
One side more so than the other is always looking blame the side for their failures.
Lack of leadership and inconsistency in practices.
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@SumKindaMunster the democrats would not vote for an elective denying, pro-Putin puppet of a former twice impeached, four times indicted, once already found guilty individual. What is wrong with voting that way?
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@samueltyler2 No idea what you are talking about. Did you proofread this before you posted?
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@SumKindaMunster i missed the typos, but, really the comment was pretty clear. for those who couldn't "fill in the blanks," I corrected it.
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@samueltyler2 Honestly it was not, I have no idea what you are talking about. Who are you referring to?

And you missed this typo:
elective denying
You mean election?
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@SumKindaMunster yes. When I type on my mobile device i often miss typos.
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@samueltyler2 And that is the totality of your response then?
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@SumKindaMunster I am not sure what you expect me to say. We all had to Google him to find out who he is. His background is very far right.
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@samueltyler2 Hm yes, you never mentioned whom you were speaking of. I was sort of hoping you could have explained that.

At this point, I got the context and understand you mean the new Speaker.

I'm sorry you're disappointed as to what you read. It would be nice to speak to people who review their comments and ensure they make sense and their point is made clear without having to ask multiple times to clarify.

Thank you.

@SumKindaMunster you are welcome.
