What are these so called 'shared values' that the US and Israel are supposed to have ?

@jehova it's not about religion as such. It's nationalism, man. Nationalism is the cause of much bloodshed in the world.

I'm just trying to identify the reason for the fighting so the cause can be addressed. Ive never fiund a complete answer. It might boil down to who threw the first. . . Too long ago to know definitely. I'd be able to tell you.

How do you think liberal Jews in the US (the majority) feel about the complete lack of moral principles that the government in Israel now takes pride in ?

@RodionRomanovitch They will feel like populism has been encouraged everywhere, including in the Jewish state. Populism is all about bragging and hardly cares about moral values.
