Israel is attacked

@SirAhmed Israel is the ally of the United States, whereas Hamas and Palestine view the United States as the Great Satan, for the most part.

As a people, we must support our allies.

From the very little I have heard, Hamas launched 250 missiles into Israel. The iron dome deflected most of those, but a great many of them hit residential areas.

At the same time the missile attack occurred, Hamas soldiers entered Israeli settlements and began to shoot women and children, and take Israeli soldiers hostage.

I realize from having read your comments on another post, that insult was given to Palestinian women and children by Israeli settlers, but this is now more than a verbal exchange.

If you want my personal feelings on the matter, they are in great conflict.

SO much about all of this has been wrong from the start.

@SirAhmed Palestinians love getting killed & being martyrs for Islam...that mentality has to change before there can be peace. The Israelis try not to be martyrs so they put their kids in harms way...while the Palestinians believe dying guarantees going to heaven, so they will put their kids right in the way of where bombing is going on.
If you believe you go to heaven simply by getting killed by your enemy..why would you fear death?

@SirAhmed I know about Islam enough to know dying in the fight against disbelievers is a sure shot way to get to heaven for muslims.

@4meAndyou We all know that the settlements aren't legal from the first place. So why would you kick people out of their homes and give their land to some folks coming from Europe or whatever land. that's provoking isn't it? And while the whole world the UN and everyone is calling out the settlements as illegal Israel is just building more and pushing boundaries with no consequences. I would like you to put yourself in the Palestinians shoe

@SirAhmed There are so many points here with which I agree. The settlements were a provocation...the land was basically stolen.

After WWII, the only reason the Jews were settled in Palestine was at their own request, because it was their ancient homeland...prior to that time, they lost their homeland in ancient wars, and were known as Wandering Jews.

There was sympathy for the Jews at that time, because of the Holocaust...but what the Jews have done since then regarding Palestinian land was NOT right.

I can NOT agree with this violence, or with terrorism, and I hate what Hamas has done, and I hate that Netanyahu has declared war.

As an American citizen, I feel that we MUST support our allies. But in so many ways, it's all wrong.

I told you...my feelings about this are in conflict.

@4meAndyou I'm trying to actually understand why? Why would you support a bunch of killers for the sake of just being an ally? That's doesn't make you guys any better and you have had enough black history as an American!! You don't have to support a specific group just because you feel it's your country duty to. I would rather to use my head I would rather to actually think and try to figure out what's wrong and what's right.
And no, it's not their land they might have lived there but there were people there way before religion exist :)

As an American, I really love my country, but I can love my country and still believe the government does things that are wrong.

I don't delude myself that a single woman can actually CHANGE American policy in the Middle East. I suspect that the Americans have chosen Israel as an ally in order to have a foothold in the region.

@4meAndyou I truly agree. If it was up to the people, we don't want war. we don't want bloodshed. we don't want kids becoming orphaned.
It's all about our government.
