George Washington wasn't first president of the United States?

Apparently, it was John Hanson.

Interesting, and one can certainly argue for that. But, considering his powers were the same as the congress, its a little bit of a strech. Nonetheless, folks would be good to understand that the United States had a different form of government for 11 years between the Declaration of Independence and George Washington.

Hmmmmm? Maybe that’s true but I’m 66 years old & for my whole like it’s always been George Washington as the first. I’m not changing now no matter who says it’s different
