Anyone else tired of Republicans' "entitlement attitude"?

Seriously. They think they are entitled to cheap gas that the government must provide through dirt-cheap leases on public land, entitled to be able to drive their Off Road Vehicle wherever they want, entitled to have that Off Road Vehicle to begin with, entitled to lower taxes despite taking more than they give back.

And they complain about poor folks' entitlement, when all they feel they are entitled to is a little food and a chance for a meager existence.

so, you'd rather the price of gas be higher and the government provide subsidies to poor people so they can drive?

nobody is entitled to cheap gas, but why would you intentionally want to keep the price high? what kind of backwards logic explains that?

@boudinMan I am afraid you don't see the forest for the trees! Look at the fossil fuel industry's corporate profits!!!
boudinMan · 61-69, M
@samueltyler2 when prices are higher, so are profits, so if that's what you're worried about, you should support lower gas prices.
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@boudinMan wow, you really don't understand what is happening. If higher prices are not based on higher costs, yes, profits rise disproportionately. That seems to be what happens. So why blame the government? It is really known as corporate greed!
boudinMan · 61-69, M
@samueltyler2 it's the government that is causing the higher costs. when you cut back on drilling by reducing the area available to drill, you reduce the supply, which causes the price to rise.
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@boudinMan number one, that hasn't happened, and number two the cost to the big companies had not gone up proportionately, you have your facts screwed up. Look at the subsidies to the corporations!

@samueltyler2 yeah? this is just one example... https://gov.alaska.gov/biden-administration-disregards-congress-attempts-to-cancel-anwr-leases/
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@boudinMan that has nothing to do with current drilling, or even near future. And if you look more carefully, the administration has opened other places for exploration.
boudinMan · 61-69, M
@samueltyler2 you're delusional. biden has cut back on drilling, it's just that simple. you can deny it all you want, that doesn't change the fact. here's more: https://waysandmeans.house.gov/gas-prices-have-more-than-doubled-since-bidens-first-day-in-office/

@boudinMan you need to expand the paves you get information from. I watch Fox as well as MSNBC, read the Wall Street Journal and the NY Times. It is important to take out the hatred from the facts.
boudinMan · 61-69, M
@samueltyler2 so do i. facts are facts.

@boudinMan but the interpretation via some media may alter the interpretation.
