Are you woke or dumb?

Woke is a term used to describe a person who is alert to the racial and social injustice in the world.

For example, black George Floyd died in the course of being arrested by a white police officer and his backup officers. Woke outrage led to convictions for the cops, and George's family was awarded $27 million compensation.

I am dumb. I couldn't and still cannot wrap my mind around woke justice. Are you dumb?

Woke and dumb are the same at least nowadays it is. Woke nowadays is extremism on the left. It promotes racism and hatred.

@specman When Ron DeSantis was forced to define "woke" in court, he said it's "the belief there are systemic injustices in American society and the need to address them."

So how is that dumb? What's dumb about trying to create a more fair society? Does justice not matter?

@BohemianBabe how about accusing of white people as racist and going to the extreme about people that were prevalent in making America and trying to cancel them because they owned slaves. It was the social norm back then. They judge slave owners by today’s standards. So yes I think that’s a bit extreme.

@specman I don't agree with cancelling people who owned slaves if they lived in a time where that was the norm. People should be judged with context.
However, this isn't something that happens on a systemic level. George Washington is still seen as an American hero.

@room101 Human society is definitely not a social system. Is mom, dad, and kid a social system? We are living and not mechanical and devoid of life. A woke mentality sees everything in mechanistic terms. This is why woke people have no issue with abortion. To them, it's a fetus, what's the big deal?
